tech projects

• Learning Ruby/Rails by developing an Inventory/RMA Manager for the Service Department that I lead. This started over Christmas break in 2024 and is being done without mentorship in my downtime at work, so I just got to "something minimally functional" about a week ago, but progress is progress!

• Working on getting another personal website project off the ground. This one will be a space for my creative writing with a slight twist!

life lessons

• About to move house, again. Pretty excited! I'll be in a much more urban environment than I'm typically used to, for the sake of better walkability. My wife and I don't like to stay in one spot for too long.

• Heavily rethinking which hobbies to keep in my life. So far, I have axed fly-tying, Game Boy modding, restoring vintage radios. That said, I also accidentally added rock hounding, coffee snobbery and collecting really obscure ebooks. It's a problem.

• Currently working as the department lead of the service department for a small fabrication shop. I enjoy the work tremendously, but not so much the horrifyingly mismanaged company.

• Still open to writing gigs, both blog roll and technocal writing, depending. Email me and we'll talk.

• Really interested in Game Theory, lately, but I'm also really deficient in maths, so that's going about as well as you'd expect.
